Valuations TAS exclusively operates in plant and machinery valuation and we have vast knowledge and expertise in a variety of industries and sectors. We have a depth of information about asset values. This will give you confidence that any valuation you receive from us is accurate. It’s so accurate that many of our clients keep on coming back to us time and time again.
When we value your assets we will arrive at one of three valuation figures:
Market value. The market value is basically what you could sell the asset for in a free and open market at an arm’s length transaction without undue pressure or influence;Equitable value. The equitable value is the anticipated price to transfer the plant or machinery to another party between informed and willing parties;Fair value. The fair value is the price that may be paid to transfer an asset on a particular date.
Just like there are three different valuation figures that may be given, there are also three valuation methods:
The market approach, which is the estimate price the asset could be sold for;The cost approach, which is the cost to build or create an equivalent piece of equipment; The income approach, which is an assessment based on the income that the piece of equipment can generate.
